Love Lingers

The fading sun softly bids goodbye,
To meet again beneath tomorrow’s sky.
Ocean waves embrace the sandy shore,
Whispering love like times before.

Fragrant blooms and dancing bees,
Return again with gentle ease.
Crossing rivers’ guarded streams, 
To soothe the sea’s forgotten dreams.

Though you rest your head upon the ocean’s chest,
Love’s gentle pulse beats in your rest.
Fireflies glow ‘mid forest’s night,
Igniting hearts with flickering light.

Soft winds carry scents anew,
Yet hearts burn with longing true.
Alone beneath the rising sun and moon,
Forever bound by distance’s tune.
